System Exchange Help
Cant get any insight, Ive been told to contact Dell tech support but when I tell them whats going I was guided through troubleshooting three times. Unaware that when finally I was able to get support and finish the troubleshooting, I am then told to contact sales department, so time wasted. Even though when i called the first time i was directed to Tech Support? So then I am given the number to the sales department and Tech support tells me to call them as they are the correct department for seeing if I can get a system exchange approved since my xps has failed and I very much feel like this is completely reasonable. It was determined that the motherboard was no longer working. I was offered a replacement motherboard but I dont see this being as a fair deal like at all. Since I bought a new laptop, not a project laptop, otherwise I would of went on ebay and bought a broken one laptop to fix but I didnt this was bought from dell. Even if the motherboard actually fixed the problem this is besides the point, the laptop now has a not so promising "carfax report" in terms of reliability, it hasnt been determined what was even the cause of the motherboard being bad which is another issue and disregarding the fact that other components could potentially be damaged as well.. I dont see a reason on why i should settle for this. If someone buys a new car and all the sudden it breaks down, and you find out its needs a new engine, yeah thats going back to the dealership to replace this lemon car. Just like this. Ive already invested way to much time. I only say this because I have been getting the most difficult time with support, usually i never have problems like this. Misinformed and going back and forth. I was hanged up on more than once. Im pissed. So I was also in warranty of the 30 days as well but now given the whole fiasco and grueling process its not passed the 30 days. Just want to exchange this thing. I need it and I need it to work from home Im going to be in such a bad position. I got disconnected from dell way to many times to be put on hold or wait, so im posting this out of frustration

No one can help with your request. Once you pass 30 days from shipment, you have only the warranty repair option. You have the option for a system exchange only within that time period.
