Will Dell ever fix Paypal payment problems?

For quite some time, I've not been able to pay using PayPal (despite Dell offering the big Pay with PayPal button at checkout). Every single time I get the email that my order was received, and an email from PayPal saying it approved a payment to Dell, but that's where it ends. I never get an order confirmation email. Checking the order status, it shows that it never reached the "Confirmed" stage. No email or call from Dell that there is a problem. My order never gets an order number assigned. It just dies. Searching for similar problem from others, it seems many have the same problem with the only solution being spending lots of time with customer service and ultimately using a credit card. If I wanted to use a CC I would have. There are reasons I prefer PayPal for some purchases. So, the question is, why does Dell continue to advertise paying with PayPal when it doesn't work? I ordered 2 XPS 13 laptops on 1/17/23 and the order sits there, dead in the water, having not been "confirmed". For what it is worth, I use PayPal a lot and never have any issue with any other online seller.

Hi there,

I am also in the same situation. I wanted to spread the cost of getting an XPS 13 Plus so wanted to use PayPal Credit, but when I go to confirm it keeps telling me the payment has failed. I do get an email confirming that PayPal has authorized but its failing on Dell end. What can I do? Don't want to spend that massive lump of cash all at once. Has there been an update?

I got it to work on the business side (maybe it was a fluke) but then tried on the Home side for an XPS laptop and the order just winds up being cancelled.

Like you, I want to use Paypal credit to spread it out over 6 months interest-free, but Dell and PayPal just don't seem to play together nicely.  Only Dell -- I never have a problem with any other company.

Dell Cares Moderator must be automated because how could there be a service tag (serial number) when the order never is processed / charged/ or shipped?  LOL!
