How to shoutdown AVAMAR media access node??

Reference to AVAMAR Extended Retention User's Guide:

Shutting down the Media Access node

If you need to shut down the Media Access node for any reason, you must stop Avamar

Extended Retention and the internal Avamar server instance first.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Media Access node as root.

2. Enter the following command to stop Avamar Extended Retention:

/opt/EMC/avamarer/bin/aerctl stop

3. Enter the following command to stop Avamar:

/opt/EMC/avamarer/bin/dpnctl stop

4. Shut down the Media Access node.

shutdown -h now

If the Media Access node is not in Production then you can simply shutdown by typing the "shutdown" command using ssh.
