Managed File Replication Backup Exec and Veeam

Hi everyone

Can someone let me know about how to implement managed file replication between Data Domains and Backup Exec and Veeam? I cant find any documentation about this.

Is it true that DD Boost is necessary to run this feature? How do you implement 2 backup sites within the backup software to be able to restore from both locations? Just adding both DDboost units oder shares?

Hi Duker,

Managed file replication is only possible with DDBOOST. You can have 2 different Backup Software's writing to the same DataDomain (One via backup and second via Managed File Replication). The data is available after the replication at the second site, so you can setup a standby Backup server at the second site and read that data.
