Upgrading to Vista Ultimate - HELP

Sorry for posting this in the wrong place, I didn't know where else to post it.

I am using my friends laptop and I can't get to the internet on my laptop after upgrading to Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 integrated. It says that I don't have any wireless hardware installed when I do. Please help me before Christmas. And when i install new hardware and drivers, It doesnt show up in the Device Manager. Please help me guys.. :emotion-6:
