Dell Technical Team Scam
Received and call from 877-841-2415, someone identified themselves as John Willems from Dell Technical Team and said there was a problem with Microsoft updates/issues and commenced to identify me, that fact that I had a Dell XPS, the purchase date and my Service Tag number. As he went on, I felt uncomfortable with where he was leading me to go with gaining remote access/control and telling me I needed to purchase 8 different software apps, etc. I dropped the call, but am now concerned that he knew all this information that I feel only Dell should know. Was this a legitimate call from Dell, or has someone breached Dell data and got customer information?

I have the same problem. The guy with an Indian accent pretends to be from Dell Technical team. He knows my computer model and service tag. He tried me to start the even viewer and click on some events.
