Important Update: Dell Endpoint Security North America Phone Number Has Changed

Dell Endpoint Security has a new number for support tickets. Customers in North America should now call +1 877.459.7304, ext. 6236710.

Pre-Boot Authentication Notification

The connectivity between the Pre-Boot Authentication component and the Dell Security Manager (DSMS)/Dell Security Manager Server Virtual (DSMSV) has been hardened in 11.5.  As a result, Full Disk Encryption (FDE) and Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) clients that use the PBA must be upgraded to 11.5 for the PBA to be able to authenticate with DSMS/DSMSV 11.5.

New Features and Functionality v4.6

  • Trusted Device v4.6 includes a new version of the Trusted Device Event Repository.   See https://hub.docker.com/r/dellemc/dtd-event-repository for more information.  This release of the Trusted Device Event Repository requires the Trusted Device agent v4.6 or later.
  • Trusted Device v4.6 now supports 64 MB SPI flash parts.

Advanced Threat Prevention End of Maintenance

The Advanced Threat Prevention component of Dell's Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise has reached End of Maintenance.

What this means for Administrators:

  • Advanced Threat Prevention build 2.1.1585 is the final build available with Auto-Update.
  • Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise build 3.4.0 is the final release containing 2.1.1585.
  • Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise is supported through the life of current maintenance contracts.

Next Generation Anti-Virus provided by Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise will be superseded with VMware Carbon Black Cloud.
