DELL_G5_SE_5505, UEFI/BIOS InsydeH20 Sytem Utility settings are read-only even after using Admin password to access.
What I did:
Set Admin password and System password and also set Permit password change to disabled in InsydeH20 Setup Utility.
Expected Behavior:
Before system boots every time the System password is required and it cannot be changed by System password or can only be changed by Setup Utility (F2) after entering Admin password because the Permit password change set to disabled.
By entering in InsydeH20 Setup Utility via F12 boot menu, OS settings or via F2 key and then entering Admin password, one can change modify the settings or has the complete access.
What is Really Happening:
1. To access Boot Menu or before any OS or program boots System password is required (also Admin password works too) - OK
2. InsydeH20 Setup Utility access is permitted on entering System password but all the settings are read-only except settings on last Exit column. - OK
3. After going to InsydeH20 System Utility via a) linux grub menu > system setup > Admin password b) F12 - Boot Manager > BIOS settings > Admin password c) F2 - InsydeH20 Setup Utility > Admin password, all the options are still blacked/greyed out or read-only except settings on last Exit column - NOT OK
Solutions tried:
I tried reset BIOS setting after going to InsydeH20 System Utility via pressing F9 key or Exit (Column) > set defaults ; entered but did nothing, tried many times.
More Info:
system bios version: 1.24.0
version: Build 4400.16 UEFI ROM

Solved!, in the Insyde setup utility > Security Column the ui look read-only but the "Locked Setup" is not a label or dialog but a button and is a only active button, so by pressing enter, a popup window appear and let you input Admin password and unlock the Setup
