It definitely makes more sense that it would be an ESX host generating an error like this, but I don't have any ESX hosts that would come across as 127.0.0.1. Is there any way I can match the System: 4c4c4544-0053-4310-8056-b4c04f395931 (which came in the alert) to any of the an ESX server (or anything else)?
It is sitting on one of the hosts that OME is monitoring (esxi005.hosted.lan to be specific). But when I go into alerts in OME (both where it's listed under servers and ESX hosts), it does not show any critical failures. Nor does it show any alerts in OMSA. here's the screenshot from OMSA (alert was generated 6/2, so would have been listed here):
I don't think this one is an OMSA alert. This looks like ESXi alert. Can you check under your vcenter or vsphere client? You may find this alert there.

Hi,
I am not sure if this alert is generated by OME. This looks more like generated from VMware ESX host.

I found this on vmware community. This may be helpful.

Is your OME on a VM which is hosted on an ESXi? This alert looks like the host where OME is sitting is generating the alert. Can you confirm?
