Thanks for your post. OME user guide/inline help has the supported protocols and ports tables which list the ports which are used by OME server (Management station) and the managed nodes (iDracs and other devices managed by OME)

Specifically for updates, OME server will need access to downloads.dell.com to download the packages. It can use ftp or http protocol to get those packages.

Since you will be using out of band updates, you will also need port 1278 on OME server for the iDracs to get the packages from OME.

we allowed ome access to proxy to get those packages from dell. Also ome can get to iDrac on port 443 (WS-MAN)

So open from OME Server to iDrac port 1278 to download packages ?

Yes. 1278 should be open on OME server for iDrac to get download the package from OME.
