OME and .NET

Currently shipping OME 1.1 is compatible w/ .NET 3.5. Upcoming OME 1.2 release (tentative July 2013 RTS) will add support for .NET 4.5.

OME installer will automatically check if .NET is not found and install it (Out of the box experience). Users dont have to manually install .NET.

This Dell PDF says minumum .NET requirement for OME is 4.0.

Last night I call Dell Support to ask  and the tech said that OME would be fine with .NET 4.5.

That's three different answers! :)

Which is correct?

We have not officially validated .NET 4.5. It might still work, but I would not recommend it.

.NET 4.0/3.5 works fine w/ OME 1.1. Either way, you can let OME 1.1 installer handle it.
