OME updates needs alot more pre-reqs??

Question

Hello I have OME v1.1.0.6063 installed from a previous testing phase. I would like to go live and do some updates so I figured it would be a good idea to update OME and DRM. Running the OME install asks for alot more pre-reqs than before (IIS roles, MS silverlight, Visual Studio) Is this just me, or did the previous versions not require this? Would it be detrimental to use the old OME version? I would rather not install these programs / roles, which will make security hardening more of an issue than before. Thanks

Hi,

Later versions of OME need a few more pre requisites than the older version, but there are no sercurity threats posed because of that. The ports required are mentioned in the support matrix. These pre requisites are required as a part of installation only
