Tower ECT1250, new completely dead

This morning when I pushed the start up button on my Dell Tower ECT1250,the switch did not turn on my pc. The button light flashed once and then went out, the start screen did not come on. The PC was purchased on 26 August.

Start by unplugging the system and holding the power button.  Then plug in and try powering up again.  If that doesn't get the system powering up:

Since the system is under warranty, contact Dell support for a warranty repair.

Thanks for this, but I had tried it myself with no luck. I then tracked down the Dell Customer Assistance number and spoke to a tech there by international call. He quickly diagnosed the problem as my B.I.O.S. failure to update, possibly due a due to a failure in a Microsoft Windows 11 "upgrade"earlier in the day. He talked me through upgrading the B.I.O.S. File and that appears to have cleared the problem. Fingers crossed though; my experience of Microsoft's Windows 11 so far reminds me of that with their disasterous  Windows Vista product of some years back.
