CPU performance comparisons

What is the performance comparison between  Pentium M 1.70G cpu and a P-4?

I have ordered an M-60 and have since been advised that the CPU may be underpowered for my application. I use GIS software. ArcView 8.3 to be exact. I also incorporate a fair amount of image processing into my GIS work. The images are in a compressed (MrSID) format which requires recalc each time the image is moved or changed. I got the 128MB FxGo700 card.

Should I go for the 9100 w/ 3.2 CPU?

Thanks for feedback.

The M conversion is times about 1.8 so that would mean it equates to about a 3.06 P4. In my opinion, the M is better.
