CRC errors and Error 1335

I've been getting these messages with just about everything that I try to install. The only work around that I have found that works is by using MSCONFIG to set my system RAM at 256MB, or even more drastic, removing the 2 1GB sticks that I've installed and inserting the 256MB stick that came with my dell.

Any ideas?

I'm using a 5150.

I got the RAM from NewEgg. It's a pair of 1 GB sticks. They are Non ECC DDR2 PC2-4200 running at 1.8v.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you zepart. OK, that RAM is compatible with the 5150. Are you running it in dual channel mode (1 module in each slot labeled 1 & 2 on the motherboard)? Have you tried running the system with only one 1GB module installed at a time? It does seem like there's some problem with one of the new DIMMs based on everything you've posted so far.

Well, still not working. I've tried one stick and then the other, I've also tried using different slots. Nothing seams to work.

I think I'm going to return the RAM and try another set.

That seems like the smart thing to do in order to resolve the problem.
