Create partition
Hi all :)
I would like to create a partition on my 5150c - making a D: to put all my music, without loosing any of the software that DELL installed (like Norton and some other stuff). How do I do this!?

Hi,
If all your existing hard disk space is already allocated to one or more partitions.
Then you will need to use a software partitioning utility such as Partition Magic or Acronis Disk Director.
Reduce the size of your exisiting partition.
Create the new one(s)
Format Them

Hi,
Good point Bev
Thanks
Dell are a little reluctant to supply all the CD's & O/S CD's for their machines these days.

"Understatement"
You're being as polite as usual, but that's like you.
I had a lot of trouble getting the CD's for the laptop I brought my wife in October.
Took several phone calls and some GBHE ( grevious bodily harm ear'hole) to get Dell to send these out. I'd made the full system XP Home CD as soon as I could for her. But needed all the drivers etc.

Ceri.
I think that is classified as a large understatement, have you noticed that Dell has again change their policies regards to supplying the CD's.
