Floppy Drive problem - "Please insert a disk into drive A:"
I'm getting "Please insert a disk into drive A:" even though there is a diskette is in the floppy drive.
I'm sure the diskette is OK (checked on other computer).
The floppy disk drive Properties is telling me:
This device is working properly.
If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter.
I followed "Drives and Network Adapters Troubleshooter" instructions, unistalled and installed floppy disk driver (Roll Back Driver was telling me "No driver files were backed-up for this device"), but the problem persists.
Any advice?
Thank you in advance!

It that doesn't cure the problem, a new drive is probably in order.

I had a group of "bad" Floppy disks that caused the same problem. Might want too try a few disks before you tear into the computer. Maybe we buy our disks at the same store?
Good luck...
