i have a xps 410 and i want to know what the pll brand or...

i have a xps 410 and i want to know what the pll brand or model is how do i find it and where on my motherboard, do i even have one, my processor is a Pentium 4 3.2ghz, and my motherboard is 0x8582, thanks for any advice

... and marked 'clock' at least on the motherboards I have seen.

The 9200 (or at least some of them) has a PLL that can be controlled by ClockGen. My nearly identical 9100 has a different PLL that is not supported.

Check the PLL to see if it is one supported. Both of my 9200's have a supported (and the same) PLL. If you have the same PLL, then you can raise (or lower) the FSB clock to overclock the machine.

so will i be able to use clockgen to overclock, does anyone with a dimension 9100 know the pll model, that would be helpful, thanks for any advice.

ok well i opened up my computer and i think i found the pll and this is what was on it cy204100xc c 04 PHI 0525 Cyp 625 465 it had a logo on it which i think looked like a t with a circle around it, anyways, if anyone can use this to help me i would greatly appreciate it, thanks for any help.

It is made by Cypress. It is the same part used in my 9100 that is not supported in ClockGen. Sorry.

oh well i guess that is just one more reason for a comp uprade, thanks for the help guys, also does anyone know if i could buy a new mobo, processor, and psu, and still use my case, or would i need a different case, thanks for any information.
