Inspiron 20-3052, Bios update, computer will not do anything

So I upgraded my bios because the dell update assistant said I had an update. So now my Dell Inspiron 20 model 3052 will not do anything. The power light comes on and that is it. It stays orange. I have downloaded the iso for it. But even the repair disk isn't working. I have no idea what to even do.

jojo, I didn't bother taking mine out. For our problem, they shouldn't  do anything to mess up your data. Yolansac1, you didn't remove yours either, right?

So got my box to send my Dell in but the instructions and it asks DID YOU INCLUDE THE HARD DRIVE? and then goes into detail how you could lose all of your info yadda yadda yadda...so did anyone who sent theirs in take out their hard drive and if so how do you go about doing that? TIA

Nope, to back it up you'd have to remove it, add an adapter you don't have, and transfer the data to another computer.

Did you back it up? If so how did you do that?

Just remember how much personal/private info you may have on your hard drive.

Not saying anyone will access your stuff, but....??

Dell is balking on extending the warranty. Will be contacting the BBB.

What reasons are they giving for not extending the warranty? I finally received my box late Thursday after numerous emails, phone calls, messages and waiting for over a week. Has anyone received their unit after repair? If so, how long and is it working properly?

They stated, "as off now there is no option available for the warranty extention." I sent in my system on 5/17 and received it back in working order on 5/26. I've contacted BBB already.

hello Guys;

I have sent my machine to dell 10 days ago.. nothing yet.

they are still checking what problem it hs..

they also asked about the warranty if expired.. they need to fix what they damaged even if no warranty..

other wise I will definitely go to the court asking for free repair and a full compensation for all this time, data and business I lost.. this would be a big number!

I feel so bad with dell.

I received a response from BBB. They stated that my request for an additional year of warranty falls outside of BBB's Complaint Acceptance Guidelines. It is against their policy to process requests for punitive damages, such as compensation and free services. SMH... So Dell breaks it, they fix it for free but don't expect them to warranty the fix.

OK, thanks for trying.yolandc1. I wonder if Dell's Customer Service dept is outsourced to United.

I receive my computer back from Dell tomorrow. Yolandac1, when you said you had trouble with log-in issues, what exactly was the issue/what did you have to do? I'm just curious as to what I should expect tomorrow.
