Logitech mouse (pointer) not recognized (on double click)

Just installed new Logitech MX Duo (MX 700 optical cordless mouse and cordless keyboard) which replaced a Logitech (Optical) MouseMan (corded) and a Dell keyboard (corded).  Software loaded, etc.

Mouse/keyboard are great; however, when I try to open an icon (re: IE on my desktop) by double clicking, I have to continue clicking several times before, it appears, IE opens (hourglass appears).  Haven't had this problem with any previous (corded) mice.  I, also, downloaded, any and all updates/drivers, etc., from Logitech's website for the mouse.  Didn't help.  I sure miss the double-click thumb button my previous Logitech mouse had.  Logitech "blew it" by not incorporating this feature in the cordless MX 700 (sorry, I digressed ).

What could be the problem?   Thanks for your help!!!!       Lee

There have been reports of either internal devices or external devices interferring with cordless devices such as mice.  Try moving the mouse or the IR receiver to a different location and see if that helps.

There should be some type of calibration/setup for the unit.  Have you run that?

Hello-Logitech provides setup and calibration software with their devices. If you don't have it already, go to the Logitech website and download it. You may want to see if there are updated device drivers for your stuff while you're there.
