memory leak
any one can helpme to fix a memory leak, my computer been showing (low memory) and my computer is almost new, with capacity of 256 have only 79 .

Hold The CTRL and ALT keys down and Press Delete key. That will bring up the Windows Task Manager, click on the Processes Tab and that will tell you what is running and if anything is "hogging" memory.
You should also download AdAware or SpyBot and run a spyware scan on your system. If you have Kazaa or some similar file sharing program that can eat up memory.
Finally, 256Mb is not a great amount in Windows XP. Although you should have more useable memory thatn you say you do, 256Mb is really "bare" minimum for Windows XP and more is better.

Fireberd is correct when he says the optimal memory for XP is 512 Mb. But your concern is still misplaced. Windows will use as much free physical memory as it can to enable it not to have to use slower virtual memory. Please see the topic "Why is there so little free RAM" on the following page:
