Microsoft Net Framework 1.1?
Hi, my internet computer is different that my audio production one.
When I first bought my Dell 9150I downloaded the video drivers for x300 and nothing saying that I had to have Net Framework installed.
I went to ATI to download their catalyst and they say I need it to both download and use the video card. On other apps you can install the app with net frame then uninstall it and all is fine. Is this the same? I just don't want kany uneccesay invasive app on my audio machine. Net frame, doesn't that mean it is ksomething kfor the Net?
Any comments? I'm just hesitant when ATI wants Net Frame and Dell doesn't(even though the new Dell driver won't finish download for lme.
Thanks
PS-I just want the latest video driver and I can't find anything on the ATi site that clearly shows this..what's up. Is this the driver: "Catalyst Control Center Only"
Or is the small file "display driver" it?

A programming infrastructure created by Microsoft for building, deploying, and running applications and services that use .NET technologies, such as desktop applications and Web services.
The .NET Framework contains three major parts:
* the Common Language Runtime
* the Framework Class Library
* ASP.NET.
---->I think the ATI website used Net Framework and you have to install it first before downloading and installing files from them.

PPS Forgot to mention there was also a security update for .NET Framework 1.1 SP1. Windows update should offer you that after you've installed, or you can get it here:

Man Net Frame seems like a big unecessary prob..who needs it? It seems to be just for security? Here's a list of bugs that Sp1(NetF) fixes:

Why install something that could only cause prob with nothing constructive?

PS-I think I'll just use the original driver I downloaded when I first bought the machine, it doesn't neeed Net Frame. It's a little weird but good enough. Thanks
