Off and On

Question

Hi, just a quick question. On often times, my Dim. 2400 the sound will stop. I've tried speakers, headphones everything I can think of. Nothing works unless I reboot manually. I've reinstalled WinXP Pro to no avail. I've tried a USB sound card and it works just fine.   Oh, updated the drivers, no luck.

Rich, if you are not using BIOS version A05 then you should consider upgrading to it.  With that BIOS version there was a fix for a problem where the 2400 would lose audio upon powering up or after coming out of a suspend-hibernate mode.    You can download version A05 at this link here.  The directions for upgrading the BIOS can be found on the file's download web page.
