PCI Parallel controller help

I have an unknown device listed in my system manager -- PCI parallel controller. I believe I need to update/install the INF file for the Intel 82434NX chipset, but I can't find the file anywhere. Intel has discontinued support and they don't seem to have an archive. I can't find any information in Dell's KB, either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you talking about a card from somebody like Siig or Amedia? I do not believe that you need the Intel drivers if the PCI Printer Card is not from Intel, and Intel motherboard chip inf files are included with Windows, unless the chip is really new, such as the 850 chip for the Pentium Four.

Thanks very much. I decided to take one last look and start pulling out components and I found a board that didn't look familiar. Pulled it out, noticed it said SIIG and found the files I needed. The reason I was thinking it was an Intel thing was because I remember having a similar problem with some other Dells we purchased a while ago.

Thanks again. Vicki
