Precision 410 RAM Upgrade Problem Question
I have the Precision 410 with the lastest BIOS and 128 MB of RAM (Ram is Mitsubishi PC100-322-620, MH16S72BAMD-8) Then, I purchased 3 more 128 MB Rams from Crucial trying to make it 512 MB of RAM. The Crucial Part Number is CT16M72S4D8E.9LT and with the Spec on Micron Sticker saying it's MT9LSD1672AG-10EG3, PC100-222-620, 128 MB, SYNCH, 100 MHz, CL2, ECC.
My problem is I got the error on RAM just about a second before the program jumps into the OS when I'm trying to put all RAMs into 4 banks. (3 Crucial and one old Mitsubishi RAM to make it 512 MB) Then, I try to take out the Mitsubishi RAM causes it to have 384 MB RAM and still got the same error. Then, I try by taking out Crucial RAM in Bank 2 and left Crucial ram only in Bank 1 and 3 (make it only 256 MB). It works without any problem. Then, I put the Mitsu RAM back into Bank 2 instead of the Crucial one that I took it out and it works (make it 384 MB)
My question is why I can't put those RAMs altogether to make it 512 MB? Not even be able to use 3 new Crucial RAMs at the same time.
There is also one message only when I have Crucial installed on the machine saying that "One or more of memory DIMMS are out of Rev."
Please help.
Thank you,

The 410 uses Registered Dimms for 256 meg modules and Non registered for 128 and smaller.
You MUST USE LOW DENSITY 16X8 Chipset ram.
If you use the CRUCIAL MEMORY CONFIGURATOR you will get ram that works. LOW DENSITY RAM COSTS MORE than high density non compatable ram. Registered cannot be mixed with non registered.
ECC should not be mixed with non ECC. Crucial only lists 2 part numbers that are guaranteed to work with the 410
4 matched 128 modules do 512 megs ram just fine in a 410.
4 matched 256 modules do 1.0 gig ram just fine in a 410.
128MB ECC SDRAM DIMM (p/n 311-0394)
128MB ECC sDRAM DIMM (p/n 311-0386)
256MB Registered DIMM (p/n 311-0436)
