Problem with USB Wireless Keyboard - can't enter BIOS

I have an 8300 will the Dell Wireless USB keyboard and mouse.  The keyboard works fine inside the GUI, but during the POST I cannot enter the BIOS, or answer questions like "Boot from Hard Disk" or "Press any key to boot from CD", etc...  any ideas?  I know there is a BIOS setting like "Legacy USB support" or something, but I can't get into the BIOS anymore to change or view the settings.  Any help would be appreciated.

There is no other work around, you will have to use PS/2 keyboard.

You're saying that a wireless USB keyboard cannot be used to boot to the BIOS?  I not so sure...

Yes that true, wireless keyboard doesnot work-in BIOS and also in DOS mode.

One thing you can try is using PS2 keyboard and change the USB emulation to 'OFF' in BIOS and then try using Wireless keyboard.

First try switching the port your wireless keyboard is plugged into.  Both the earlier 8100 and 8200 models had one USB port that was active during boot up.  Possibly this same design feature was carried over to the 8300 model.  Another thing is to temporarily hook up a PS/2 style keyboard to access the BIOS Setup.  Once you can access the BIOS Setup then check the USB Emulation setting to see that it is enabled.  Once enabled the BIOS will support the USB ports even though the Windows USB drivers are not loaded.
