Processor Upgrade for Dimension 9200
Hi, I am currently running the following:
-
Dimension 9200 DXP061
-
BIOS version 2.5.3
-
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6420 @ 2.13GHz
-
Motherboard: 0CT017
-
North Bridge Intel P965/G965 Revision C2
South Bridge Intel 82801HH (ICH8DH) Revision C2
I would lile to upgrade the processor and I am thinking about an Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6700 SLACQ to upgrade to.
Can anyone confirm for me that this processor is in fact compatible? Are there others I could use? From what I have seen I think this is the best quad I could use in this system? Is there a list of compatible processors anywhere?
