Good point. Looking for a cheaper alternative method to upgrading memory. RDRAM gets expensive. But I do eBay and there is some good deals on memory there. Thanx!

I've never heard of one. ...And why on Earth would someone use one anyway? Why would someone want to slow their P4 system down with SDRAM??

RDRAM is only expensive nowadays if you buy it from Dell. You can get 128MB RIMMS for $35 from Googlegear.com. I bought 2 there, and they work fine.

Hi

You mentioned buying memory on Ebay, when buying them it's worth noting that Dell computers will only use the brand name modules, not genetic ones.

80455
Samsung Original RAMBUS 256MB 800MHz 8-Device Memory
$75.00

80455-1
Samsung Original Rambus 256MB 800MHz 16-Device Memory
$78.00

Awesome site, thanx. What's the difference between these two. One is 8-device the other is 16-device. I'm going to get 2x256MB. My total installed RAM will go from 128 to 640. That should help my system, huh??
