s-video out

​ Hello, ​
​ How do I use the s-video out on a Dell C610 OR where can I get a user manual. ​

Found the manual but I dont have the TV button in the advanced setting of the display panel per the user guide.

In Windows XP:

  1. Click the Start button, and click Control Panel.

  2. Under Pick a category, click Appearance and Themes.

  3. Under or pick a Control Panel icon, click Display.

  4. Click the Settings tab, and click Advanced.

  5. Click the Displays tab.

  6. Click the upper-left corner of the TV button to enable the TV.

  7. Click OK.

Ok, I now have the TV button and can output to TV, external Vid, etc.......

So now my question is how can I record the edited video from my C-610 Laptop to my external DVD recorder. The recorder is a stand alone unit (not external)  with s-video in, audio in, etc......that is connected to my laptop and I just would like to record some dvd's of video that I have edited on my laptop without the whole windows screen. Just the video such as Avi's, mpg's, windows media formats etc.....

Thanks for any suggestions what so ever ?

how did u find and enable a tv button on the display settings. i dont see anything like that on mine

You have to download the updated video drivers. I learned about that in the manual.
