Scanner won't work
My HP ScanJet 3300 C scanner software will not work with the Win xp of my recently purchased Dell 4600. However, it was working with a program that came installed on the Dell, but now won't. I checked all connections, etc and found no problems. I reconnected the scanner to a Win 98 computer and it works fine.
Is if possible that the program on Dell that did work with the scanner was a "full version" that would only work for a limited time? What program was used to run the scanner on the Dell without the HP software installed? Any suggestions?

You may need an XP compatible driver. The WIA( Windows Image Acquisition) may be what you used to scan with, it is a part of XP.
