Unwise.exe?

I have several programs with Unwise.exe attached to them. These have all been Internet downloads. What does Unwise do? As well, I found an unattached Unwise.exe in my Temp Folder. Can I dump it safely?

This is usually an uninstaller, so don't delete it or you may have problems uninstalling the program should you need to. But anything in the temp folder can be deleted--most likely it has already been copied to somewhere else on your hard drive.

I , of course, did not touch the "unwise files" attached to programs. This particular one in the Temp File was associated with a program that I had already deleted. I did not know what these were because of the ominous name. Thanks.

So it comes down to it's Unwise to Uninstall the Wise Uninstaller called Unwise.exe ;)
Especially if it's attached to a program.

Thanks John. I opened the program and it turns out to be empty, referring only to VBE. I figured that unwise.exe was such a common occurance, it had had to do something important. My only interest was in clearing my Temp folder following deletion of a program. You know the drill, "Some files could not be removed and should be removed by hand.".
