If you have also installed Norton Internet Security, see the following:

Thanks Steve!
I have Norton on my computer, but never initiated it. Could it still be the cause?

What do you mean you never activated it? I really don't know the answer to your question. I referred you to the Symantec document because other people have reported the same problem as you have and the Symantec document addresses the problem. If it appears to apply to you, then use the fix and see if the problem goes away.

Virtual memory is just the swap file for windows. The setting for virtual memory is probably "let windows handle it" . So Windows will probably enlarge your swap file on the next boot up. Remember to always defrag your hard drive.

You probably have Norton anti-virus on your computer and not the program that Steve was talking about. I can not see Dell shiping Internet Serurity with your computer.. unless you paid extra for it.

The first thing you have to remember when you get an error message is to not get your self upset. If you can not fix it .. or figure it out call Dell tech support. If all fail, you can always reinstall the operating system
