DPC watchdog violation
oFor two days now, whenever I run my computer, after 3-5 minutes it displays the blue screen and indicates that there is a DPC watchdog violation. I'm not aware having made any modifications to the computer. It's an XPS 7100 on which I have been running Windows 10 without incident since it first came out.
The onboard diagnostics show this error code. 2000-0146. I can't run the full online Dell diagnostics because the computer stops before everything completes. However, it looks like there is only one problem, something to do with a CD ROM drive that doesn't always close promptly when the diagnostics program tests it.
I've tried several fixes that I found by Googling the error. None of them worked. Several of these solutions showed how to update the drivers, but I checked them and everything seems up to date.
What can I do now to fix this machine?,

The first option to consider is that the firmware of your solid-state drive. You need to boot into Safe Mode to uninstall this firmware and reinstall it, or upgrade to the latest version.
If this method isn't work or you don't use an SSD, then consider to other methods, such as corrupted files, turn off fast boot and much more.

Unplug the system and hold the power button for 30 sec. Re-run the diagnostics - if you see that error another time, replace the hard drive.

Thanks for the suggestion, which I tried. No luck. It does, indeed, look like a hard drive problem. HOWEVER; I just remembered that there´s another account on this computer. I signed in, and everything seems to work normally. Any thoughts about this?

DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION is very common if you have a Solid State Drive (SSD) in Windows. Many SSDs can’t handle Windows correctly until you update the firmware on the drive.
2000:0146 means previous errors in short test.
Error code 0146 indicates the test has detected logs of previous errors on hard drive.
Either way sounds like you should backup data and try a new drive cuz the one you got is dying.
