Microsoft Windows Security-SPP Error
Hey, I have a Del XPS 8700SE That I bought a few months ago. I recently checked Event Viewer and saw this 1 application always come up after clearing my logs. The log is: Installation of the Proof of Purchase from the ACPI table failed. Error code: 0xC004F057 The Source of this is from Security-SPP by Microsoft. I got a little concerned, because it keeps coming back. I tried to look it up, but couldn't find anything about this. I also found that this could possibly "deactivate" windows. If anyone know anything about this, and how to fix this please reply back. Thanks, Shane

Error 0xC004F057 Windows is not Genuine
Sounds like you didn't buy from Dell.
It will only run for 30 days or less when this condition exists.

No I did buy from dell. it says it's activated and genuine.
