Need help with windows ME error
I formatted and reinstalled windows ME on my machine today and I go the following exception error when I restarted (before windows even completely booted):
exception OE has occured at 0028:C006115D in VxD VNETBIOS(01) + 00000B8D. This was called from 0028:C023F58B in VxD VMM(OC) + 0000058B
I can still load WinME, but the error is a pain to deal with. can anyone clue me in as to what the problem is and how to fix it?
Thanks

You have a Santa Cruz sound card, which is the source of the problem. Windows ME incorrectly identifies the chipset on this card as a Crystal SoundFusion audio device. See this article for the solution.
