Hi,

If you want to browse and download from the newsgroups, you might want to consider getting a news reader.
Free Agent is great and FREE.

John,

First off, What news reader do you use, and what news server do you use??

I lot depends on these two questions.

As for a FAQ about usenet ...

Hey BFD00,

I'm having the same problem but using Windows XP.  Since Comcast went to the Giganews server, I haven't been able to log on or download any newsgroups.  Like you, the Login window keeps popping up and my Username and Password are correct, but still I can't access the newsgroups.

Has anyone else encountered this since going to the new Newsgroup server?

If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let us know.

Thanks very much.
