Resolution/Driver/Graphics card error
Hey guys I have an Optiplex GX150
Heres the specs before anything:
256MB RAM
PIII @ 1 Ghz
40 Mb HD blah blah
So anyway I have an 800x600 24 bit (60 Ghz) display setting.
I can't tell you much about my drivers because I don't know how to find their stats (?)
EDIT: Intel(R)82815 if this peice of information is useful..I have a hunch that its my graphics card or an outdated driver causing the problems. EDIT 2: I got this from Dxdiag "
Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer."
The problem is that when I play pretty much any game the display does not render correctly.
16 Bit games even do not display right. The colors are messed up, the graphics fade to black.
When a game pops into 256 colors it actually only has about 5..5 shades of grey.
Solution please? I would be happy to find my graphics card specs and drivers if someone were to guide me...

You need an AGP card that fits your case and power supply.

Retail powercolor 9550 These cards work in most all the models because they have Low profile and regular brackets. The MX4000 however is WORSE than INTEL Junk graphics so I recommend AGAINST it cuz its garbage.
