Web Cam Problem.

I have a Aiptek Hyper Vcam, which i got 2nd hand last week.
I have followed the installation instructions and the cam works for a while and then my image freezes or goes black, grey or green. The people who i call get the same image.
I have to keep uninstalling it / reinstalling it to acquire contact.

Does this mean the camera is on it's last legs?
If so...

I need recommendations for a suitable model that will be compatible with Dell Dimension C521.

Can anyone help me, please.

I bought a Logitech Quick Cam Express today and the results are the same.

What is causing these problems?
Is it MSN/Windows Messenger or my PC?

Thanks very much.

Let's hope this does the trick.

Much Appreciated.

Edit.
------
I tried all this today and the Cam worked for a while and it stopped working again.

I have given up, it's too much hassle.

Thanks again for your help.
