Setting retention policy on ECS objects
I have an Isilon that has smart links pointing to ECS objects. Suppose I add a retention policy on ECS to cleanup objects after 10 days, what happens to SmartLink files on Isilon. Do they also get cleaned up or they still remain on Isilon?

Hello gpradeepjain,
Here is a link to OneFS 8.2.2 Web Administration Guide and if you look on Page 223 it explains how to set the policy for cloudpool smart links. https://dell.to/2QWbSHR

Want to understand, what happens if I set a retention policy on ECS and object gets deleted. What happens to smartlinks on Isilon, do they get purged.

Hello gpradeepjain,
Here is a link to a white paper on how Cloudpools and ECS will function with retention policy.
