Dell Command Update Application Error
We're getting the same message on multiple systems when using the Dell Command Update: "Warning: A problem occurred while checking for updates. The operation was aborted. See the activity log for the specific failure details." When checking the log it's always the same application error: GUI-UVM15 Load of update catalog data failed.
We need this fixed as soon as possible please.
Also as an FYI - The initial message saying there is an error has the word "Occurred" spelled wrong! (see attachment.)

Vakko,
Catalog file updated to ftp location and DCU will not show any error/warning message if you do "Check for Updates"
For typo error (Occurred), already communicated to DCU team and this will be addressed in next release of DCU.
thanks,

I downloaded this cab file from the details error log message someone else posted below:
ftp.dell.com/catalog/CatalogPC.cab
Download that file to the machine. In DCU settings change the update from location to that loval cab file. Retry the scan again....bingo.
Hope it works for everyone else too.

This is still an issue for me after installing this today. Constantly fails on multiple machines and is getting annoying.

Hi,
We are still experiencing this issue as of today. Using the Client System Update v1.3.0 I think it should be pointing to the new update but all we are getting is Check for updates failed.
Is Dell still having issues with the ftp location?
Thanks.

It appears that either Dell's ftp.dell.com/catalog/CatalogPC.cab location is offline or very very slow.
Please confirm this issue has been resolved.
Thanks.
