Dell Command Update Application Error

We're getting the same message on multiple systems when using the Dell Command Update:  "Warning: A problem occurred while checking for updates.  The operation was aborted.  See the activity log for the specific failure details."  When checking the log it's always the same application error: GUI-UVM15 Load of update catalog data failed.

We need this fixed as soon as possible please.

Also as an FYI - The initial message saying there is an error has the word "Occurred" spelled wrong! (see attachment.)

You can refer the below link for importing activity log.

Hi,

I am on Windows 7 x64

DSCU v1.3.0

I am not able to click on your activity Log to see how to attach files and which file I should be attaching. I exported the log and it shows up in a zip with 2 files.

Thanks.

I am experiencing the same error message in the activity log as FBLAWAT - the Dell Client System Update is showing in the Activity Log the following error: Application Error GUI-U15 Load of Update Catalog Data Failed.

The update software being used is Dell Client System Update 1.3.1.

Any updates on a resolution to these issues?  I read that corrections were made for the FTP, but it appears they have not corrected the issues.

Thanks for your time.

Dell,

It has been almost a month since I indicated the "fix" you indicated was completed is still not working. Is Dell WORKING on this or not?

Amazing how there is no further updates from Dell on this issue.

Please fix this issue and update the forum to let users know.

Have they been working on it for over a month? It's still broken, can you provide an update on when this will be resolved?

FBLAWAT,

We had 2 instances over the last month where the catalog used by Command Update was corrupted during webpost, resulting in a 0 byte file.  This caused the error.  I just verified that Command Update is working correctly, so the catalog is posted correctly.

If you are still experiencing issues, I would encourage you to contact our Support team so that they can track the issue and communicate that progress to you.  This forum is a community forum that does not have a support SLA and may not be monitored by a Dell team on a daily basis.

Hi Warren,

Thanks for the information but I was referring to the fact that palani raja asked for more information and I provided them including other users as well.

I was simply stating this issue is Not Fixed as indicated last month.

Thanks.

This is quite a problem with Vendor forums ... you mark the question as answered and your answer is "people are working on it"??  It has been several months and there is no fix yet and no further update in this post.  Do you still think it is answered??  No, neither do I.

As stated previously, the issue with the catalog being webposted incorrectly has been addressed.  If you are still experiencing issues with Command Update, please open a support ticket with Dell Support using the link posted above, so that further investigation can be conducted.

Hello, as of today, 4/11/2016, I was trying to upgrade couple of computers and I'm getting the same error.

Could you please verify, that the FTP catalog file is up to days and can be accessible.

Thank you.
