Migration from Documentum 5.3 to 6.5

Question

Hi everybody, I'd like to know the complexity and tasks involved in the migration process of Documentum 5.3 to 6.5. I am refering just to the data migration, regardless any other aspects. On the other hand I'd like to know if there would be a better option as migrating first from 5.3 to 6.0 and then from 6.0 to 6.5, or if it's possible to do it in one go. Thanks in advance. Jose

I believe going from Content Server 5.3SP4 to 6.5 is supported in one step.Read the CS Installation Manual for the details.Message was edited by: Johnny Gee

You don't necessarily have to go to 6.0 before upgrading to 6.5. You can do an in-place upgrade from 5.3 to 6.5.You can check the release note to see the OS, Database compatibility.

Release notes are part of the product download (eg Content Server 6.5).
