!#$%!@%!@%@#%!@#%!@#%!@$#%!@$#%!@#$%!@#%$~^!~@#$%~@#%~@#%

That is how I feel about this piece of work. I used to be able to find answers to my questions now I can't find a thing.

PowerLINK is a PowerFAILURE....

Hi Patrick,

the Knowledgebase Search tool is very powerful, but we have unfortunately discovered an issue with it, so here is a tip:

For Software products, do not set the Product family. Instead, put the Product information into the Search For field.

We should be rolling out a fix for this soon.

Thanks for your feedback, and keep it coming - we can only fix the problems we know about.

Erich

Hi srinivas,

We would like to investigate this furhter, please provide further details on this behavior, which tab on knowledgebase search did you search from? what was your search criteria? and which result(s) did you try to open?

Thanks,

Thanks for the encouragement.....But, unless it has changed over the last couple days, I search the forums...I then see something in the results that may help....I click on the link and I get nothing but the same result set. I never am able to view the "meat" of the thread to try to get my answer.

I have just been going through some heavy development pressues and I am constantly search the KB (the old one that is) to help find answers. Unfortunately, since the coming of PowerFailure, I have not been able get any answers.

I am hopeful that this tool either gets fixed and/or some communication/training be made available. There are a bunch of smart folks at EMC/Documentum and I am hopeful they can get this fixed.

What you describe is search issue within forum section - workaround is know - please check threads on known issues. What I was referring is simply to open a thread in designed section and ask a question that you wish to find answer for. Forum is like live KB; your question is like search query and user response might be exactly query response you are after (I know, it's poor philosophy).
