Threaded view and wrapping text
Hi,
I like the new view that indents replies but as a reply thread gets deeper it becomes a pain to read it as one has to scroll to the right. It might be good to have collapse/expand functionality for the threads.
Also, very looong lines don't seem to be getting wrapped . That combined with the indentation means one is scrolling horizontally back and forth quite a bit.

Not sure if everyone is seeing this or its just me.
Regards,
Aashish

this is one of the complaints we'd expect for the indented view. Unfortunately you cannot change the view type on the fly - you must set it in your profile.
There are three views you can choose from, Flat (as we used to have), Threaded (the current default) and Tree (where the discussion is shown one item at a time, with the titles of other replies are shown in branches). It's really a matter of preference.
However, your suggestion is a valid one, and we'll record for future enhancements.
Thanks,
Erich

Hi Erich,
Thanks for the tip.
Also switching to the Flat or Tree view solved the problem of lines not wrapping. Looks like the lines don't wrap only in the Threaded view.

We have been able to determine that this is working as it was before the upgrade with one minor exception that has been resolved.
Whenever someone uses the code tags (http://forums.emc.com/forums/help.jspa#code) the text between the tags is not subject to word breaking at 80 characters. Though this makes the "code" more readable, it can have the unfortunate side effect of making the page really wide.
When you switched to the flat view the wide page problem appeared to have disappeared; however, it didn't. Because in the flat view the replies are paged, the problem was masked, but if you navigate to page 3 you will notice that the page width is once again wide.
The minor exception that has been resolved is before the upgrade the code segments were formatted to make it more noticable that they were different. This formatting did not get turned back on after the upgrade. We have now turned this back on.
