Unable to create Service Request (case)

Hi,

I am unable to create new cases (Service Requests) for Content Management Software. On the Create Service Request page the only "Service Request Type" option available is "Hardware¿. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Oh yeah, if you cannot find a Site Admin at your site, let us know through the support@emc.com.

Hi Anto,

Unless you have been set up with the correct relationship with your Site, you will see this limitation. In order to be allowed to create Software Service requests, you must be set up as an "Authorized Caller" (aka "AC of") through the Support > Site Account Management > Contacts screen. Only a Site Administrator may do this. If you are flagged as the Site Admin, you may create the relationship.

Thanks for the reply. I am not worried about creating SRs for my company. Issue is I am unable to create the SRs for my client(s) as an agent. I always used to create cases for my clients as a client agent. Is it different now?

Any update on this. I am still unable to create cases (SRs) as an agent.

Hi Anto,

I've just learned that we have this slated to be fixed within the next few weeks. If you need to be able to create Service Requests for any of these Sites, we may have a workaround if you're willing to try it.
