EqualLogic PS4210 Controller switch to Passive
So our battery on Controller 0 is end of life. I have already replaced the battery on Controller 1 which is/was the standby. That went smooth so we are good there. I then went into the Maintenace tab to hit the restart button to switch the active controller from 0 to 1. I hit the button but it will not switch the active to standby. Is there something else I need to hit?

Hello,
The restart (failover) won't work if the primary has an error. You can try using "restart" at the CLI of that member. GrpName>restart
If that fails, best option is to shutdown your servers, then shutdown that array. GrpName>shutdown
Then remove the controller, replace the battery and power the array back up.

FYI: A restart won't work if, as I suspect both cache batteries have expired.

As already suggested try :-GrpName>restart
