Group Manager Timeout

I do not have the timeout set, yet it still closes, I've even enabled it in the GUI and set it for 180 mins and it still closes after around 10 mins of inactivity. this is annoying and I just want it to stay open until I close it.

Hello,

I just set mine to one minute and it worked as expected, I just changed it to 35 to make sure that works too.

One thing you must do, is SAVE the change.  There is a small diskette icon right above on menu bar.

  Regards,

Don

Definitely saved it, it doesn't matter what I set it to it times out at some interval, reading the documentation if you don't have it enabled it should not close, so why does it?

Hello,

After I set it to 35 minutes I unchecked it and it hasn't closed in over an hour.

Are you getting the logout warning or is it just closing?

What version of Java are you using?

 Regards,

Don

It sends the warning, and if I catch it I click continue and it works, but I don't want it to close, and don't have the setting enabled for that reason but it is ignoring that and closing anyway.

Java version is 8 update 211

Hello,

What account are you using to make the change?

Hello,

One last suggestion is disable it at the CLI.

GrpName> grpparams session-idle-timeout disable

See if that works.   Otherwise if you have a support contract open a case with Dell.  They can look at the array diags and Java logs.

Regards,

Don

Yeah, that didn't do much either, still times out in about 5 mins or so, never timed it actually, it's frustrating and annoying but I'll have to live with it as we don't have support on it.

Thanks for trying to help anyway, much appreciated.

Hello,

You might want to try an older version of java?
