How to setup multi-hop configuration

Locally I have 2 frames, a DMX-3000 and a DMX3, and another DMX3 remotely.

I want to replicate data from the local DMX-3000 to the local DMX3 using Synchronous SRDF. Then I want to replicate that data to the remote DMX3 via SRDF/A due to the distance.

For the 1st hop, I can use symrdf createpair to make my R1/R2 pairs from the local DMX-3000 to the local DMX3.

Then for the 2nd hop I would setup R1/BCV devices on the local DMX3 to replicate the data to the remote DMX3.

My question is, how do I setup the relationship between the local R1/BCV device and the remote R2 device?

While being foolproof and incapable of error we also introduce small errors just to induce human people believe we are also human. It's a nice trick that you discovered. We have to find better/different errors, hopefully less prone to detection by humans.

"I'm sorry Dave... I'm afraid I can't do that"... - HAL... (and my wife) ;)

When I asked around, Bergamoans? Bergamites? well - the nice people in Bergamo - would only speak about Stefano in hushed tones. :^0

Bergamaschi .. that's how we call ourself .. :-)

However the dialect is quite nice .. there is a great
tongue-twister that sounds like

"A cala aca la ca la a a cala ca la" .. That obviously translates to "Guarda quella vacca che va a quella casa" or if you prefer english "Look at that cow, going at that house" ...

:-)

Not that there is anything wrong with either drink... or either sex drinking either coffee beverage...

Now, back to our way off topic, and rather humorous discussion ;-)

I know you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two

Dave, although you took thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.

"Cascading requires a DMX3 frame in between with a recent code .. The DMX3 "in the middle" will have very special devices that will behave both as R2 (with respect of your R1 devices in your DMX3000) and as R1 (for the R2 devies on the other coast). You don't need BCV devices in the middle. The RDF links are SRDF/S from source box to middle box and SRDF/A from middle to far end"

exactly that is what we are going to have in a few months; We have already upgraded the SE as a pre-work.

I love to experiment .. And I've never played with SRDF/Cascading .. Do you want me to play a little with your infrastructure ?? :-)
