Hi MaximUnited ..

PV timeout can be easily changed online with the pvchange command.

pvchange -t 120 /dev/dsk/c2t0d2

I never noticed LV timeout (usually we require you to set PV timeout to at least 120 seconds).


The BBR can be changed with lvchange command

lvchange -r n /dev/vg01/lvol1

I can't see nowhere in the links that this is done online.
Are you sure 100%?
I'm mostly afraid for the BBR change.

I guess you can ask HP ... :D

Have a look at emc58837 .. HPUX on Symmetrix for dummies ;-)

Unfortunatly I can't find news in either directions .. I can't say if it's online or offline .. :-/

timeout setting thorugh pvchange can be done online. We keep 90 for sym and 180 for clar.

No comments about BBR !
