Dell memory not recognized
Inspiron 3020 Desktop
Bought a Dell 16 gb upgrade module specifically for this pc from Dell but the system won't accept it as a second stick. Won't recognize alone as well. Help

It's difficult to pinpoint the reason when we don't know which memory you used in the upgrade. It could be the module was not fully inserted. If the issue is persisted, you can give Crucial a try, it's cheaper and they have compatible memory upgrade for your system and guarantee to work or providing full refund.

SOLVED: Had to clear CMOS and then it recognized. Had never had to do that before. Always something silly.
